ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Begins Offering LocusLabs, an Indoor Maps Solution
ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (Ichiro Tsuge, President & CEO; headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will today begins offering an indoor maps solution LocusLabs, a cloud service that provides additional information such as route guidance, stores, equipments, etc. in facilities using location information. ITOCHU Techno-Solutions has entered into a sales agent agreement for the first time in Japan. It is mainly provided by airports with large indoor facilities and retail companies, aiming to achieve sales of 1.5 billion yen over three years.
LocusLabs creates a high-performance 3-dimensional map a facility and uses position information to provide routes and additional information within facilities. Using images taken with a dedicated camera and CAD data of facilities, creates a map of the facility with high accuracy on the map, information on equipments of the facility, sales information such as restaurants and retail stores to the destination routes, etc. Getting the location information of the user by Wi-Fi and beacon, real-time route guidance to the destination will be realized and, by performing API cooperation, it is possible to provide various information that leads to the convenience improvement of the user, such as the availability of the parking lot, the waiting time of the security checkpoint at the airport, etc. In addition, by providing the information that users need, it will also reduce the workload of the facility staff.
ITOCHU Techno-Solutions has already provided LocusLabs to Japan Airport Building Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the construction and operation of Haneda Airport, in March 2020 to further enhance the convenience of airport users. ITOCHU Techno-Solutions integrates the in-facility map that was divided into terminals up to now, has realized smooth information provision to users.
